3 Easy Steps to Follow When Soldering
Posted on April 7, 2008 by 1gbps
When soldering you should always keep in mind these three easy steps to follow:
- Preparation - This step pertains to how you must strip the two ends of the wires from their plastic insulation covering and inserting all components into the board.
- Tinning - A good practice to follow when soldering is to tin both ends. This just simple means to melt a bit of solder on the tip of the soldering gun then put the solder directly on the contact while you liquify it.
- Soldering - In this step you apply the solder to the contacts and melt it by using the soldering iron at a high enough temperature for the type of metal your working with.
